Sales Co-op

Overview:

As a Co-op Automotive Sales Representative, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in the dynamic field of automotive sales. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with customers, learn about various vehicles, and develop essential sales skills under the guidance of experienced professionals in the automotive industry.

 

Job Type: Internship Summer or Year-Round part time (25-30 hrs/wk)

Hybrid schedule 

 

Reports to: Sr. Director of Sales

 

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Interaction: Engage with customers in-person, over the phone, and via email to understand their automotive needs and preferences. 

Product Knowledge: Acquire in-depth knowledge about Musashi Auto Parts.

Sales Support: Assist Account Managers in their daily activities in support of their customers.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Utilize CRM software to manage customer requests.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments within Musashi(ie, Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, etc.)

 

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Engineering or Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.

Passion for automobiles and a genuine interest in the automotive industry.

Sales-oriented mindset with a goal-driven attitude and a desire to succeed in a competitive sales environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM software is an asset.

Availability to work flexible hours.

Specific Sales Support:

  • Salesforce support(CRM) – entering data for new RFQ’s.
  • Monthly auto materials reconciliation.
  • Chasing down customer payment/invoice reconciliation issues with the plants
    • Customer Helpdesk….supporting the plants.
  • Develop AI to support taking notes during customer meetings(ie, Tech Reviews)
  • Maintaining standardized presentation templates for new RFQ’s(i.e., RFQ kick off, SED’s, TAP, etc.)
