Summary
The Water Engineering Intern will support GLWA’s active and pending capital improvement projects by participating in site visits, construction site visits and assisting in the preparation of design document and construction document management.
Job Responsibilities
Assist engineering team with design document development including RFP
development with specifications and drawings.
Review shop drawings and other construction submittals.
Attend operational plant site visits to collect and verify design information.
Attend construction site visits for meetings and or work verification.
Data synthesis and analysis.
Required Education and Experience
Currently enrolled in an associate, bachelors or master’s degree program with an accredited college or university with a related field of study.
Able to commit to working at least 20 hours per week
Able to commit to the intern position for a minimum of two months
Follow security and safety policies and procedures in carrying out work duties
Experience with Microsoft Office; especially large data sets in Excel.
