Insurance Brokerage Intern

The HUB International summer internship program exposes students to the vast career opportunities within the growing insurance brokerage industry. Working with our Commercial Lines, Personal Lines or Employee Benefits teams, you will learn about our business through on-the-job training, working with HUB team members to gain experience in what it’s like to work in this dynamic career field.  If you are team oriented, service minded and enjoy working with people in a challenging, fast paced environment, this is a terrific opportunity for you! What You Can Expect During Your Internship

Our Summer Interns will be introduced to the world of insurance and will actively engage in a variety of tasks/projects within the Client Service arenas. Interns will learn about the:

  • Clients we serve and the vast industries they represent.
  • The types of insurance we provide with a focus on our Commercial, Personal or Employee Benefits lines of business.
  • Insurance carriers with whom we partner.
  • Basic laws/regulations governing our business and how we ensure compliance.
  • How we set and execute client strategies.

 

Qualifications

  • Preferred areas of study include, but are not limited to, Risk Management & Insurance, Business Management, Finance,
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Self-directed and a willingness to work independently at times.
  • Desire and willingness to learn about the insurance industry.
  • A positive attitude that embraces teamwork and learning.
