Summer 2024 Communications Intern
YOU ARE: a student with experience creating social media content, turning technical topics into digestible communication pieces (written and video), a desire to broaden your understanding of digital communications, and an interest in exploring how your skill set could fit within the architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) industry.
WE ARE: a transportation engineering and planning firm on a mission to transform the way communities move through developing thoughtful, equitable, and innovative transportation solutions.
Position Summary
We are looking for an intern to join Kittelson’s Communications Team for Summer 2024. Our team manages the firm’s website, social media, email marketing, and media relations. As intern on our team, you will:
- Produce videos for TikTok and Instagram
- Write content for our social media platforms
- Contribute to newsletter articles on trending topics in the transportation industry
- Produce project write-ups for the website
- Ideate and produce communications pieces that spread the word about Kittelson internships
- Contribute to team brainstorms
Qualifications
- Experience producing videos for social media (particularly TikTok and Instagram) for a business or organization
- Experience or interest in contributing to social media strategy, article writing, and content development
- Strong written communication skills
- High level of organization and commitment to deadlines
- High level of ownership and attention to detail—you take pride in publishing content that is error-free and the best it can be!
Compensation
Compensation for this position is $21 – $26 per hour (position in this range determined by your year in school).
