Paid Summer Internship Position (June - August 2024)

        Join our team as a Firefly Drone Show Technician, where you'll play a pivotal role in the heart of our on-site operations, ensuring the seamless execution of our drone light shows. In this hands-on role, you'll collaborate closely with the Pilot and Field Manager, assisting in the deployment, functionality, and logistical support necessary for each show. Your responsibilities will also extend to the test field and shop, where you'll engage in project preparation and equipment maintenance, ensuring everything is in top condition. Ideal candidates should have a passion for drone technology, possess strong problem-solving skills, and be able to work effectively under pressure both independently and as part of a team. What You’ll Do:

• Assisting in show operations to ensure the performance of a 100-500 drone light show.
• Acting as a designated visual observer during flight.
• Assisting with site setup and teardown.
• Ability to properly perform maintenance on equipment.
• Being available to assist with troubleshooting  and problem solving in limited time. 
• Capability of traveling or working on weekends and holidays.
• Assisting in shop operations including, servicing drones and equipment, assisting in the development of innovative equipment and technologies, and maintaining organization of equipment.
• Supporting project leads to ensure projects are carried out and successfully completed.

• Willingness to put in flexible hours
• Ability to follow checklists, safety, and operating procedures
• Ability to work outdoors with limited facilities and resources for extended periods of time in various climates.
• Eagerness to learn and continue to do new things.
• Must be able to understand orientation and training in order to continue employment. 

Bonus points if you have:

• Part 107 Operator license 
• Skills in leading a team or project
• Professional experience with drones
