Pipeline Engineer Intern
TRC is seeking highly motivated and diverse Pipeline Engineer Interns for our Summer 2024 intern program out of our Indianapolis, IN or Pittsburgh, PA regions. This is a paid full-time position. Anticipated duration will be from June through August 2024 (flexible). This position has the potential to transition into a Full-Time role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists.
Responsibilities
- Projects are natural gas pipeline related.
- Assist engineers with cost estimating, review of engineering drawings, and other miscellaneous tasks.
- If field visits are identified as needed, candidate will accompany an experienced engineer, have safety training, and wear company provided PPE.
- Support various project tasks including regulatory requirements/review estimates, research, procurement support, etc.
- Perform data entry, data management, data evaluation, and data presentation
- Support the preparation of reports, plans and specifications for client
- Will be supported by leaders, mentors and teammates
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Basic experience with AutoCAD
- Must take initiative and communicate with a remote team
- Open to field work as needed
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, detail oriented person
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow
- Basic experience with BlueBeam is preferred but not required
