Job Description:

SK Siltron CSS has a unique opportunity at our Bay City site for a Wafering Process Intern for the summer of 2024.

Project Summary:

Project 1: Develop a new brush cleaning process to Identify post-cleaning residue types, find the root cause by new recipe development, new brush evaluation, defect analysis, and close defect monitoring

  1. Problem status check (1 weeks)
  • Understand system and data analysis method using JMP
  • Understand current process flow
  • Understand current problem
  1. Issue and Goal defined (1 week)
    -      Monitoring current trend
  • Understand Tool and process
  1. Measure / Analysis (1 weeks)
  • Identify current problems and discover potential factors.
  • SEM/Microscop/Lab analysis
  1. Improve (4 weeks)
  • Test DOE with recipe / consumables / materials
  • Collect data
  1. Control and final reporting (1 week)

Physical Requirements:

S-Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and development activities including root-cause analysis
  • Additional responsibilities as needed based on business needs
  • Overseeing daily process performance of SiC wafer manufacturing process.
  • Monitor and report performance of processes including root cause analysis of process excursion, low yield, and overall underperformance
  • Hands-on process development of measuring process capability with suggestions if improvement
  • Work with R&D, Process Engineering, Operations, and other organizations to support best performance, safety, environment, quality, and efficiency data driven
  • Supports coordination and performance measurement of process and quality improvement tasks
  • Ability to automatically analyze data and provide solutions through IT solutions such as Spotfire and JMP.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must be pursuing a B.S. program in an engineering field or related areas:

Chemical, Physics, Materials Science, Electrical, Mechanical or engineering related fields

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with MS office.
  • Ability to work in the cleanroom environment
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
