College Internship

A Brief Overview

The Wayne County Airport Authority is seeking enthusiastic student interns interested in working at a large commercial hub airport. 

Our program is designed to provide each intern a variety of general and area specific experiences that include developing documents/presentations, functional case studies, and working with various employees at all levels of the organization. The interns also participate in a variety of site tours, presentations and guest speakers that expose them to the various aspects of the Aviation industry. Interns will be able to develop and demonstrate communication skills (written and oral), teamwork, creativity/problem solving, motivation, leadership and their passion for their chosen field.

We have intern opportunities in the areas of: Human Resources, Airfield Operations, Finance & Accounting, Public Relations/Communications, Environment & Sustainability, Maintenance, Wildlife and Public Safety (Police, Fire).

​Interested Students Should:

·      Be able to work up to 32 hours per week, Monday through Thursday

·      Have completed at least two (2) years of higher education

·      ​Have a 2.5 grade point average (GPA)
