Marketing Intern

The Marketing Intern will assist the digital content team with creating compelling, error-free content, including but not limited to video, blogs, webpages and infographics, that capture the brand personality and voice in an authentic, consistent way. They will learn about the ARS brand, services, customer personas and marketing communication best practices and apply that knowledge to their content. 

The Marketing Intern thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment and demonstrates a high level of ownership and accountability over all assignments. 

JOB DUTIES:

The Marketing Intern works effectively with their assigned supervisor and other team members as needed to complete the following job duties:

Core Job Duties:

  1. Content Creation: the Marketing Intern builds content ideas into finished products, including writing, design, and uploading to appropriate channels.
  2. Content Quality: the Marketing Intern upholds the brand tone, style and voice in all content creation, with an understanding of key audiences and business objectives.
  3. Content Strategy Assistance: the Marketing Intern assists their supervisor in the content ideation phase as needed.

  2. Accept constructive criticism and utilize supervision and feedback for professional growth.
  3. Address problems noted by the supervisor.
  4. Communicate all urgent matters with their immediate supervisor.

  7. Maintain good communication, both written and verbal.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

ABOUT THIS POSITION:
This position is:

  • Paid and part-time, seeking applicants who can dedicate 20-29 hours per week with the potential for full-time employment in the future.
  • Hybrid/remote with an in-office training period (2 weeks) and weekly scheduled in-office time 1 day/week at our Winter Park, Florida location.
  • Open-ended. Interns may continue their internship over several semesters if they choose to and remain in good standing with the company.

MAJORS & EXPERIENCE:
Applicants working towards a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English/Writing or Journalism are preferred, but all majors are welcome to apply. Applicants in their second junior semester, seniors and graduates are preferred. 

Experience creating digital media or writing digital content is preferred. A portfolio or samples of work will be expected. 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Computers and common software for content composition (Google Docs, Microsoft Word, etc). Understanding AP style, creative design and digital marketing best practices are a plus!
