Writing Tutor Opportunity  

Work remotely with outstanding global high school students! 

The mission of Pioneer Academics is to provide opportunities to exceptional high school students from around the world to conduct college-level research online and produce a research paper. We are looking for skilled, experienced, conscientious writing tutors this summer to help Pioneer scholars with their research papers.   

Tutors must have a firm grasp of English rules of mechanics, sentence structure, organization, vocabulary, and style and be able to explain the principles of good writing. Additionally, tutors should be keenly interested in helping an international community of high school students from different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds meet their academic potential.  

All work is done online. Tutor feedback on a paper must be turned around in 36 hours, preferably 24. Consequently, assignments will be made according to a tutor’s availability. Tutors will be trained, supported, and compensated on a project basis. A summary of the academic program we offer can be found at https://pioneeracademics.com/.

**This is a 1099 position. Persons paid on a 1099 basis are independent contractors and self-employed. Independent contractors are required to pay all self-employment taxes (Social Security & Medicare) as well as income tax. Independent contractors generally do not receive any type of employment benefits from the client.
