Job Description:

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an entry-level HR Admin to join our team. This position will be onsite at our corporate office in Chandler The HR intern works cohesively with the HR Business Partners, Staffing Manager and BU leaders throughout the organization to implement and execute successful hiring strategies to meet business needs.

 

Primary Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Assisting managers with creating new requisitions in Applicant Tracking System.
  • Posting jobs on various job boards (LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Handshake, etc.).
  • Scheduling interviews, assisting with travel arrangements, ordering background checks/drug screens, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Creating recruitment, new hire orientation and benefit packets.
  • Creating and filing personnel files.
  • Assisting with employee off boarding and exit interviews.
  • Processing employee status changes in Workday.
  • Other research, projects and duties as assigned.
  • Assisting with various HR projects/tasks.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Actively pursuing a degree in Human Resources or related field (Must currently be a student with an expected graduation of December 2024 or May 2025).
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office- Outlook, Excel, Power Point.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and reprioritize with little notice.
  • High attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Professional and dependable.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 15-20 hours a week.
