Associate Financial Analyst

This position will provide general financial guidance, direction, and analytical support for Museum functional area.

Financial Analysis

• Prepare and process month end journal entries (reclasses, accruals, etc.)
• Expense accounts and cost center variance review
• Reconcile various balance sheet general ledger accounts
• Complete monthly financial reports to include department performance reports and dashboard
• Provide recommendations for corrective actions when needed

Continuous Improvement

• Find ways to continuously improve processes and responsibilities
• Identify opportunities and make recommendations for cost reductions/improvements

Communication

• Interact with variety of stake holders via various communication mediums (written

and/or verbal)

Job Specifications

Education Level: Active senior level undergraduate or graduate student working towards BBA or MBA in Finance or Accounting 

Relevant Experience:

• No previous experience required. 
• Demonstrated competency in the use of spreadsheets and accounting systems for the purpose of analysis and financial modeling is required.
• SAP experience a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management.
• Self-motivated and a self-starter continuously looking for process improvements.
• Strong attention to detail while maintaining the broader, analytical perspective. 
• Excellent organizational skills – ability to balance multiple tasks under time constraints.
