Associate Financial Analyst
This position will provide general financial guidance, direction, and analytical support for Museum functional area.
Financial Analysis
- Prepare and process month end journal entries (reclasses, accruals, etc.)
- Expense accounts and cost center variance review
- Reconcile various balance sheet general ledger accounts
- Complete monthly financial reports to include department performance reports and dashboard
- Provide recommendations for corrective actions when needed
Continuous Improvement
- Find ways to continuously improve processes and responsibilities
- Identify opportunities and make recommendations for cost reductions/improvements
Communication
- Interact with variety of stake holders via various communication mediums (written
and/or verbal)
Job Specifications
Education Level: Active senior level undergraduate or graduate student working towards BBA or MBA in Finance or Accounting
Relevant Experience:
- No previous experience required.
- Demonstrated competency in the use of spreadsheets and accounting systems for the purpose of analysis and financial modeling is required.
- SAP experience a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management.
- Self-motivated and a self-starter continuously looking for process improvements.
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining the broader, analytical perspective.
- Excellent organizational skills – ability to balance multiple tasks under time constraints.
