Student Teacher - Production and Audio Engineering
Overview:
Bad Kids Writing Kamp (BKWK) is seeking a talented and passionate student teacher specializing in production and audio engineering to join our team. As a student teacher, you will work closely with our instructors to deliver high-quality lessons, provide one-on-one coaching to students, moderate Zoom sessions, offer feedback to leaders, and contribute to course creation as needed. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in music education while making a meaningful impact on the creative development of our students.
Responsibilities (included but not limited to):
Lesson Planning:
- Collaborate with instructors to develop engaging lesson plans and course materials focusing on production and audio engineering concepts.
- Create instructional materials, including presentations, tutorials, and demonstration videos, to support student learning.
One-on-One Coaching:
- Provide personalized guidance and support to students during one-on-one coaching sessions, offering feedback on their production and engineering projects.
- Help students troubleshoot technical issues, refine their skills, and achieve their creative goals.
Zoom Moderating:
- Assist in moderating Zoom sessions and virtual workshops, ensuring a smooth and interactive learning experience for participants.
- Manage breakout rooms, facilitate discussions, and address technical questions or concerns from students.
Leaders Feedback:
- Offer constructive feedback and support to course leaders, providing insights into teaching methods, student engagement strategies, and curriculum implementation.
- Collaborate with leaders to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to course delivery.
Contribution to Course Creation:
- Occasionally contribute ideas, content, or features to the creation of new courses or program offerings related to production and audio engineering.
- Share expertise, insights, and best practices to help shape the direction and content of future courses.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current student pursuing a degree or certification in music production, audio engineering, or a related field or related experience.
- Strong understanding of music production techniques, digital audio workstations (DAWs), and recording technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback to students and leaders.
- Proficiency in Zoom or other virtual meeting platforms, with experience in moderating online sessions preferred.
- Enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring others, with a passion for fostering creativity and artistic expression.
