Software Engineering Co-op

Undergraduate Intern / Co-op Program Overview-

We are looking for an exceptional Software Engineering Co-op who can assist other software engineers in the design, development and implementation of cost-effective production automation software for products that are used in the semiconductor and thin film markets. Position duties include:

  • Assist in maintaining existing automation platforms (in terms of functionality, reliability and performance)
  • Support new automation development initiatives and other critical projects
  • Design and develop our internal .NET framework for production automation and backend management
  • Collaborate with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams on design, development and deployment of new production software
  • Perform root cause analysis on software failures, lead corrective action efforts and communicate results

 

What will you bring to the team, along with your curiosity is:

  • Knowledge of .NET (either VB.NET or C#)
  • Familiarity with Python
  • Ability to solve complex problems relating to automation and software development
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to work in an internationally-based, team oriented environment

 

Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly Pay Range: $18.00 to $28.00 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

 

Benefits: MKS offers a benefits package for interns/co-ops working at least 20 hours per week, including 11 paid holidays, sick time, and 15 paid vacation days accrued on a biweekly basis.
