Internship (Fall 2024) - Benefits Assistance Center

Now is your turn to join us in learning more about what we do, how we service our clients, and our unique Benefits Outsourcing Services via our Benefits Assistance Center (BAC) through a Fall Internship Program!
You will be exposed to our unique Benefits Assistance Center model, having the opportunity to interact with our leadership team, our consulting teams, our clients, and their employees.  You will learn key aspects of employee benefit programs including strategies and plan designs to help our clients attract and retain top talent.  This is a hands-on learning experience ensuring you have an understanding of what employer benefit plans are, how they work, and why they are important to the success of businesses.  You will gain an appreciation of what we do and why a career in Employee Benefits may be right for you! 
Each intern will report to a supervisor to guide them through the course of the program. This position can be fully remote, hybrid working part-time onsite, or fully onsite in either our Dallas or Plano offices. 


Through a structured training program, you will:
• Assist employees via inbound phone calls with enrollment questions related to: 
• Medical, Dental, Vision, Life insurance and Disability, Employee Assistance Program, etc.
• New Hire eligibility/life events and changes/dependent terminations
• Accessing online portal to view benefits information
• Help explain dependent eligibility verification and evidence of insurability guidelines.
• Provide guidance related to employer plan changes at Open Enrollment for the new calendar year.
• Help to proactively resolve customer issues and research resolutions
• Assist the BAC team with additional tasks as needed, for example client data processing including New Hire Enrollments, Qualifying Life Events, etc.

Internship Program Requirements
• We are looking for College students entering their Junior or Senior year who are focused on a career in employee benefits. 
• Able to work 30 hours per week. 
• Successful candidates will have a strong GPA balanced with extracurricular activities including involvement in a combination of sports, student government, college clubs, community service. We also look for leadership positions in these activities as an added plus. 
• Strong to excellent communication skills are required.
• Ability to attend company, department, and team meetings as required.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of client and company information
