Software Engineer Intern

Founded by a dynamic team of Columbia undergrads, an MIT PhD, and a UCSD PhD, Eden's products—a webapp and a browser plugin—allow users to connect seamlessly on any webpage they find engaging. Through our proprietary AI-powered technology, users can create and join interest-based communities, or "Circles," fostering deeper connections and conversations directly within the webpage.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers and engineers to develop and enhance the Eden AI platform, including our webapp and browser extension.
  • Implement and maintain features that utilize our AI engine, ensuring a seamless integration that enhances user experience.
  • Test and optimize the platform in fast iterations to maintain high performance and user satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage a CI/CD pipeline for efficient deployment of the platform across various environments.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in building, testing, and deploying web applications; and designing REST APIs.
  • Expertise in HTML, CSS, Next.js v14.x, TypeScript, and Node.js.
  • Proficiency with React.js, Tailwind CSS, Webpack for developing browser extensions.
  • Experience with serverless architecture, including Supabase and PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with Docker and deployment on cloud platforms such as Vercel.

Good to haves:

  • Experience with AI technologies, particularly integrating and optimizing AI functionalities within web applications.
  • Background in database optimization and caching techniques (e.g., Memcache, Redis) to enhance application scalability.
