1Cademy Disability Studies Research Community

The Disability Studies community explores current and past research topics related to disability such as disability legislation, disability culture, the psychosocial impact of disability, the economics of disability, the interaction of technology and disability, and more. Interns summarize research articles and present their findings weekly with the rest of the group. By using the 1Cademy online platform, interns synthesize articles into smaller concepts, connect them to broader concepts both within the disability studies community and other communities on the knowledge graph, extrapolate the research for deeper analysis, and communicate their findings to other community members. We value collaborative learning and expect interns to participate in group discussions and leverage collective knowledge to dive deeper into the content.
