Job Summary:

As a Financial Consultant Intern at JGA, you will have the unique opportunity to receive one-on-one training with our experienced Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) advisors, engaging in real-world detailed case studies and mock client meetings. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience and insight into the daily activities and responsibilities of a financial advisor, equipping you with practical skills and knowledge in the financial services industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Real-World Case Studies: Work closely with our financial advisors to analyze and develop comprehensive financial plans for real-life scenarios, deepening your understanding of financial planning strategies.

·       Mock Client Meetings: Participate in mock client meetings, gaining exposure to the fact-finding process, understanding client needs, and formulating suitable financial recommendations.

·       Marketing Campaign Experience: Run a real marketing campaign to gain valuable experience in prospecting for potential clients, understanding the importance of building and maintaining a strong client base.

·       Client Meeting Observation: Sit in on actual client review meetings, fact-finding meetings, and recommendation meetings with both existing clients and prospective clients, observing how advisors interact with clients and deliver financial solutions.

·       Investment Performance Reporting: Generate investment performance reports and individual stock position reports for current discretionary client portfolios, gaining proficiency in tracking and analyzing investment performance.

·       Educational Seminar Preparation: Collaborate with our team to help put together seminars aimed at educating the public about essential financial planning topics.

·       Client Appreciation Event Coordination: Assist in planning and organizing client appreciation events to foster stronger client relationships and showcase our commitment to client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

·       Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.

·       Knowledge of financial concepts and principles.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

·       Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic understanding of financial software.
