Creative Writing Intern

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Creative Writing Intern.

This role offers the opportunity to write captivating scripts and lessons that engage students beyond the traditional classroom setting, with potential exposure across our media platforms.

You’ll develop stories that promote learning and confidence in speaking English with our students. Collaborate with various departments to ensure our curriculum’s effectiveness and make a meaningful impact on our students!

Thank you for your interest in applying to Nao Now. We are excited about the possibility of having you join us for our Creative Writing Internship. 

Your assignment is to compose a 1-page, double-spaced creative writing script on one of the following topics: the Statue of Liberty, Robots & Rovers, Sea Creatures, Women's Soccer, Girl Scouts, Amusement Parks, Romeo and Juliet, Bats, the Water Cycle, or Justin Bieber. This script will be considered for use in our theatrical educational videos, inspired by formats like those seen in Ms. Rachel's videos on YouTube such as the following: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZizzobSlWkg


Here are some guidelines to help you craft your script:
- Craft a captivating introduction.
- Incorporate humor to engage and entertain young learners.
- Pose open-ended questions to encourage interaction, similar to the style of Ms. Rachel.
- Introduce new vocabulary and focus on pronunciation.
- Convey unique facts about the topic.
This script is tailored for intermediate English language learners aged 8-12 years, who can formulate basic complete sentences. We eagerly anticipate your submission and will follow up regarding any further steps.

Internship Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce a minimum of 5 scripts per week, tailored to enhance the learning experience of students.
  • Participate in the revision process, showing openness to constructive feedback to refine scripts and lessons, ensuring they meet educational goals and maintain student engagement.
  • Collaborate with the curriculum team to align scripts with educational standards and learning outcomes, ensuring consistency across all content.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions with the creative team to generate innovative ideas for future content that promotes language learning and student participation.
  • Teaching new vocabulary, pronunciations, & concepts.
  • Developing lesson plans catered to each age group.
