Talent Acquisition Intern

What you’ll do

In this important role on AlixPartners’ Corporate Services (CS) team, you will work with the Talent Acquisition team on recruiting and related activities for the North America offices. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to satisfy the people-focused demands of our fast-paced, high-growth firm.

The Talent Acquisition Intern role is a paid, part-time role located in Southfield, MI for an approximate 4 – 6 month assignment and approximately 25 hours a week, with potential for more hours during peak times. This role reports to a Talent Acquisition University Manager. Paid relocation is not available.

  • Support the recruitment team with logistics related to scheduling candidates for initial screens and assessments.
  • Maintain up to date candidate pipelines, recruiting calendars and monitoring team inbox.
  • Support campus recruitment by planning and coordinating recruitment events.
  • Assist Talent Acquisition team with maintaining data in Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and a Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) database.
  • Assist with special projects identified by the Talent Acquisition team.

What you’ll need

  • Pursuing, or has earned, an undergraduate degree in an applicable field of study.
  • Flexible and adaptive with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
  • Analytical, capable of developing and managing related reports and metrics.
  • Organized workstyle; effectively manages and prioritizes workload, high attention to detail, assumes and manages multiple tasks without close supervision, adapts to change, and consistently meets deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills while displaying the highest degree of integrity of candidate personal information. Experienced and comfortable working and communicating directly with senior executives and professional staff.
  • Proactive, self-starter and understands the urgency and confidentiality of the recruiting function.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Core working hours are generally 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM; willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
  • Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.
