Sponsorship Coordinator

DUTIES: The Sponsorship Coordinator for the Programming Division and First Deputy Commissioner’s Office is responsible for the cultivation and management of program partners who collaborate with the library to provide a range of programs and services for children, teens, and adults. Using their experience and knowledge of the local cultural, educational, and economic environment, the coordinator targets key partnerships that align to the library’s strategic goals to nurture learning, education, and discovery. Responsibilities include working with partners in the development and implementation of scalable and citywide initiatives at the library or in partner-provided settings; this may include developing and managing grant opportunities to support these activities. The coordinator also implements training and evaluation of partner programs with the library to ensure high quality experiences for participants and continuous improvement of all program components. This position works closely with CPL library staff who support children, teen, and adult programs to create effective partnerships that support learning and enrichment. This position requires the ability to manage multiple work streams and to engage in a high level of teamwork and communication.
