Product Owner

Description 

Prelude is a dynamic and innovative software company dedicated to providing solutions to bring life saving drugs and therapeutics to humans and animals all across the world. As a Product Owner you will play a vital role in the development and success of our software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and stakeholders to define, prioritize, and deliver features that align with our product vision and goals. Responsibilities 

Product Strategy:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and user needs.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of the product vision and strategy.
  • Translate business requirements into user stories.

Requirements Gathering and Prioritization:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Gather and prioritize user stories and features based on business value and feasibility.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and leadership to understand and prioritize requirements.

Agile Development and Sprint Planning:

  • Work with development and QA teams to plan and prioritize product backlog items.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups.
  • Ensure product features are meeting acceptance criteria.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust priorities as needed to ensure timely delivery.

User Experience and Design:

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and user-friendly product interfaces.
  • Provide input on design decisions based on user feedback and usability testing.
  • Advocate for the needs of end-users throughout the development process.

Product Launch and Iteration:

  • Assemble release notes and related documentation to complement the product.
  • Help support the CSM team as it relates to the product.
  • Coordinate product releases and internal trainings.

Job Outcomes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) is a plus.
  • Prior experience in software development or product management is desirable but not required.
