Position Title: Graphic Designer
Type: Part-time Acedemic Credit Internship (10-20 hours per week)
Division: Marketing

This internship is unpaid, but eligible for academic or course credit if approved by your educational institution.” 

Internships may be paid based on outside programs, federal-work study and scholarships in which needs to be facilitated by the university, program, or student; we simply sign off on timesheets and are not responsible for payment.

Dumisani Maraire is an esteemed celebrity Event Photographer and Videographer based in the vibrant heart of Hollywood, California. Through his collaborations with Love Heals the World and Red Carpet Series, a premier event photography and videography company in Los Angeles, he specializes in capturing red carpet interviews and providing event photography stills. Dumisani has had the privilege of working with some of the brightest stars, including Snoop Dogg, Akon, Paris Hilton, Tiffany Haddish, and Jimmy Kimmel, among many others. Step into his lens and explore the dynamic world of celebrity photography.

The Red Carpet Series is also affiliated with Love Heals the World, a new online arts and humanities club dedicated to spreading the divine healing power of love through music, blogs, and fashion. 

About Us: Assuaged Foundation, a distinguished student training digital platform and 501c3 non-profit organization advocating a plant-based lifestyle, is on the lookout for a Graphic Designer Intern. We invite candidates who possess a fervent passion for scaling with a recognized 501c3 non-profit entity. 

You'll work remotely with us, creating digital and print art for our website, social media channels, and upcoming events. The focus of this internship will be primarily on editing and developing educational graphics and materials. Part of Assuaged's company mission is to produce compelling graphics that have a social impact and focus on promoting positive change.


The Ideal Intern:  

  • Is organized, thorough, accountable, dedicated, and professional.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite* Specifically Photoshop.
  • Knowledge with Illustrator/Indesign/After Effects/Premiere.
  • Knowledge of strong typography/ layout design.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced work environment and execute art revisions quickly.
  • Ability to create different styles of artwork.
  • Knowledge of HTML is a plus.
  • Knowledge of animation/video editing. GIF creation is a plus.
  • Experience creating flyers and posters is a plus.
  • Localize flyers and admats for print and digital use.
  • Create banner ads for various affiliates.
  • Create show wrap-up decks for clients (pull analytics, create infographics, include photos and conclusive results for events).
  • Must be knowledgeable about typography, color, and current design trends.
