Our Newest Opportunity: 

OneDigital is looking for an emerging business professional to join the Baltimore retirement and wealth team to assist in delivering superior services to our clients. You will be working closely with senior members of the retirement and wealth team, learning directly from them, and gain a broad overview of all facets of our business.  Think of this opportunity as an apprenticeship.  Instead of sitting through boring training seminars you will help produce investment reports, deliver customized financial planning advice, evaluate investment managers’ performance and engage with the employees of our clients around their financial situation.  Our team believes in high performance, collaboration, authentic communication, open feedback, and overall excellence. JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY   

This paid internship program exposes interns to all facets of the retirement and wealth business including portfolio management, investment due diligence, ERISA compliance, vendor management, and 401(k) participant engagement.  Successful interns will gain a clear understanding of their own interest in this rewarding field and identify the facet of our business most attractive to them.  If you are a motivated individual with a strong work ethic, excellent team skills and outstanding communication skills, we would like to speak with you.  

 

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):  

Help earn clients’ trust by thoroughly understanding client needs, assist in providing targeted advice and aid in the development of thoughtful solutions and delivering an exceptional client experience 

Assist advisors in all aspects of wealth management including asset allocation, investment management and wealth planning 

Diligently work to acquire the technical knowledge and competency required to deliver investment and retirement plan management 

Assist in the conduct of retirement plan participant education meetings; along with senior team members, meet with individual participants and build relationships with participants  

Learn the value proposition of wealth management services to retirement plan participants 

Meet with clients regularly to help ensure investments align with their goals, risk tolerance and personal situation. 

Work in conjunction with the service team on day-to-day service including investment review meetings and financial planning. 

Support business development efforts, which may include events, campaigns, prospect meetings and proposals 

Assist the retirement plan group with putting together investment scorecard meeting materials and other due diligence efforts 

Qualifications:  

Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills 

Entrepreneurial spirit coupled with an ability to thrive in a team-based and collaborative environment 

Dynamic and credible professional who communicates with clarity and has exceptional presentation skills 

Demonstrated client focus relationship management skills  

Self-motivated with a commitment to excellence and a high level of integrity 

Education 

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree – a business finance focus is preferred but not required 

Interest in pursuing the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation 

 

 

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
