Purchasing Intern

The Intern will work within the Purchasing team, collaborating closely with colleagues in the US, Mexico, Brazil, and South Africa. This role involves supporting various purchasing activities and contributing to the efficient operation of the department.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Work on Forecast Tool:

  • Assist in analyzing purchasing data and trends using the company’s forecasting tool.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to refine forecasts and identify opportunities for cost savings.

Update DQI Reports Weekly:

  • Maintain and update the Defects, Quality, and Issues (DQI) reports.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of data, highlighting any anomalies or trends.

Upload Pricing Data into Excel for Budget and Forecast:

  • Gather pricing information from suppliers and internal sources.
  • Organize and upload data into Excel spreadsheets for budgeting and forecasting purposes.

Run Macros in Excel to Accelerate Reports for Americas:

  • Utilize Excel macros to automate repetitive tasks, such as generating reports and analyzing data.
  • Optimize report generation processes to improve efficiency.

Collaborate with Americas Teams for Data Upload:

  • Work closely with purchasing teams across the Americas region.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data uploads for budgeting and forecasting.

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including macros) and data analysis.
  • Experience in SAP preferred, but eagerness to learn required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
