About Us
TrackGirlz is a nonprofit organization founded by Olympian & Olympic Coach Mechelle Lewis Freeman with a mission to empower girls through track & field, a sport proven to have health, academic, and social benefits. Participation in track and field has been found to lead to higher education at four-year colleges and positively impact behaviors, self-esteem, and overall health for teen girls.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a talented content intern to support our social media efforts. You will be responsible for assisting with creating original text, still graphics, and short form video content. Additionally, you will be monitoring posts, reporting campaign success, and researching competitors. You should have good communication and basic copywriting skills. You will report to the Operations Manager who will guide you on the social media content and campaigns you will be working on. This internship requires up to 10 hrs of remote work per week.
Responsibilities
- Help execute a strategy for the company’s Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok accounts
- Provides support with the creation of social media content for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms.
- Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok
- Some experience in content management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Drive and Sheets in particular)
- Ability to handle a flexible work schedule based on workload
- Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
- Familiarity with content scheduling tools
- Familiarity with content creation tools, like Canva a plus
Must be 18 years or older
