Interior Design Intern

Position Summary

Are you a Design Rock Star? Did you just graduate, or are about to graduate, Design School? If so, we want YOU! Our award-winning residential Interior Design firm is growing and we need more star players to join our team. We are looking for an Interior Design Intern who possesses a passion for detail and client satisfaction.

The Design Intern will work on all aspect of projects, from inception to final installation and will work with the Designers and the Creative Director to ensure all aspects of client design and presentations are complete and integrate our Krista + Home aesthetic. We are looking for team members who are willing to roll up their sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

From attending design consultations and project meetings, programming, space planning, job site visits, finish and furnishing selections, help with design presentations, recording specifications, to attending design installations, client relations - we pursue the highest level of completion for every task.

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who works autonomously as part of our team, blends seamlessly into the Krista + Home culture, and realizes there is no task too big or too small for someone to roll up their sleeves and help out. We are a busy, fast-growing firm, so the selected candidate will help out and complete project-related errands, as well as general office tasks when needed to ensure a smooth flow of delivery.

Clear, efficient communication is essential in this role as the team manages multiple projects simultaneously.

We are passionate about all things design, so being ready and open to special projects involved in client management is the kind of adaptability we are searching for in our next Interior Design Assistant.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Degree in Interior Design, or soon to graduate with a degree

Technical: AutoCAD Expertise required. Photoshop, 3D rendering a plus

Multi-tasker: Balance multiple tasks and projects at once, in a fast-paced environment

Client-focused: Customer service and/or client interaction required

Fun: Desire to work hard…and play hard!!

Teachable: Quickly learn new processes, procedures, and user interfaces

Communicator: Communicates clearly and effectively

Autonomous: Ability to independently manage multiple projects and deadlines

Mobile: Must have a working vehicle for office & client-related meetings and errands

Job Types: Internship, Contract, Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
