Youth & Family Services Intern
Unpaid Internship available with City of Bowie Youth & Family Services Prevention Program.
Bowie Youth & Family Services seeks an undergraduate or graduate intern to support the prevention staff with program management, in-school programs, and promotional campaigns to boost awareness of the mission of BYFS.
Working with students grades 4th - 12th in group settings in the Bowie schools. Groups include mindfulness-based stress reduction, young adults' life skills, and the youth advisory council for Bowie Youth & Family Services.
- assist in preparation and presentation to school groups
- assist with promotional campaigns to support groups and BYFS mission to community awareness
- Assist with the distribution of survey tools and collection of responses
- Assist in preparing program evaluation reports
Accepted interns are required to complete State and Federal criminal background checks, a Child Protective Services clearance check, and PGCPS safe schools trainings.
