Job Title: Website Maintenance Intern

Department: Innovation & IT
Reports To: IT Manager + Director of Innovation

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Website Maintenance Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in maintaining and developing Shopify ecommerce websites while working with cutting-edge Microsoft cloud technologies and .NET backend code. The intern will report to both the Innovation and IT departments, ensuring a holistic learning experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating and maintaining small B2B websites based on existing templates.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance for current Shopify ecommerce websites.
  • Monitor website performance using various tools, identify potential issues, and report or address them as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the IT and Innovation teams to ensure website functionality and security.
  • Learn and apply best practices for website development and maintenance.
  • Document processes and changes made to websites for future reference.

Required Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of Shopify platform and website maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
  • Entry-level experience with .NET backend code.
  • Experience with JIRA will be nice to have.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Understanding of business processes and how they relate to website functionality.

Educational Background:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Duration and Working Hours:

  • 6-month internship with a possible extension if required
  • 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

Location:

  • In-office position

Compensation:

  • Paid internship with an hourly wage.

Mentorship and Development:

  • The intern will be supervised by the IT Manager and the Director of Innovation, gaining exposure to a new and dynamic area within the company while supporting the current IT duties. This role provides a unique opportunity to set personal growth paths and contribute to the team's success.
