The State Water Resources Control Board’s Division of Administration Services has an opening for an Information Technology Supervisor II in the Division of Information Technology, Client Services Help Desk. The position is located at 1001 I Street, 8th Floor, Sacramento, right in the heart of downtown next to light rail stations and other public transportation. This position requires you to be on-site.

Duties:

This position performs work within the Client Services domain. The incumbent will Supervise a team of 9 staff and provide excellent customer service and technical support to the SWRCB and Regional Boards including configuration and maintenance of workstations, printers, laptops, network devices, mobile devices, and other technologies as may be assigned. Under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager I of the Help Desk & Client Services Unit within the Infrastructure and Client Services Branch under the Division of Information Technology (DIT). The IT Supervisor II serves as the Help Desk Supervisor, demonstrating excellent leadership and customer service. Supervise staff involved in the implementation and maintenance of Computer Help Desk and Telecommunication support services utilizing industry standard information technology implementation and operation strategies. Coordinate and manage the operation of Water Boards’ centralized Help Desk services. Responsible for formally supervising staff, training/mentoring, work assignments, resource support, and leadership in providing quality services to Water Boards’ customers. Work with Regional Board Administrators on projects or issues.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
