Roles and Responsibilities:
Job Summary/Overview: Samsung Austin Semiconductor (SAS) is looking for talented Semiconductor Engineer Interns for the summer of 2024 to join our industry-leading company in the Austin, Texas area!
The Samsung Internship program is designed to introduce university students to full-time roles within the semiconductor industry. During this assignment, you will have a chance to utilize your theoretical knowledge while gaining a general understanding of the logic chip manufacturing process.
Specific Job Duties:
During your internship, expect to learn about Samsung culture, complete a department-specific project, and learn valuable insight from top executives. Our interns support a wide variety of departments across SAS both inside and outside the Fab. Each project has real business impact and measurements for success. Interns will have an advisor for the duration of their summer internship to provide ongoing support along with valuable career planning. You will receive a mid-term and final performance evaluation so you can set goals and chart your progress.
SAS Interns also participate in community service and engagement activities with local non-profit organizations. Community involvement is a key element of Samsung Austin Semiconductor’s culture and vision. We love seeing employees out in our local community sharing their time and talent with charities. Shift: 1st Shift: Monday- Friday, 8am-5pm
Skills and Qualifications:
Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required:
• Pursuing a BS or MS degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Civil, Safety, Environmental), Material Science, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, or Math
• Cumulative GPA Minimum: 3.0
• Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
• Willing to relocate to central Texas (Austin and Taylor)
• Available for full time hours over 11 weeks from May 2025 – August 2025
