INTERN JOB DESCRIPTION

We are searching for a motivated student intern to assist our team of civil/site professionals as we design the communities in which we live, work, and play. Qualified candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills, computer skills (and the desire to learn specific programs such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Microsoft Office), strong work ethic, and the ability to work well independently and/or as part of a team. 

As an intern, you will use your knowledge and have the opportunity to learn new skills, to assist in a wide variety of tasks relating to land development design projects.   You will assist in the preparation of schematic site plans, complete tasks relating to the design of stormwater management plans, erosion and sediment control plans, and other related permit and construction plans.

Our ideal person is enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program for Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, or Landscape Architecture, is on the path to their Engineer-In-Training, Surveyors In Training or Landscape Architect certification, and has a desire to enhance their community with Sustainable, Dynamic, and Creative designs.

Position Requirements:

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program for Civil Engineering, Land Surveying or Landscape Architecture.

•       Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills.

• Knowledgeable in AutoCAD Civil 3D or willing/able to learn.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
