As a K-12 private academy operating in all 50 states and 86 countries, we are committed to making a global impact. In addition to our educational mission, we also lead three key initiatives: the TYT Veterans AI Initiative, the TYT Silver Skills Initiative, The TYT Small to Midsize Business Initiative, and The Young Talons Child Sponsorship Initiative.
We are excited to invite students and recent graduates to join our dynamic team as a Nonprofit Marketing Intern/Volunteer. This role is ideal for individuals pursuing degrees in marketing, nonprofit management, public relations, or related fields.
Role Overview: Nonprofit Marketing Intern/Volunteer
As a Nonprofit Marketing Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a range of marketing activities tailored to the nonprofit sector. You will collaborate with our team to develop and implement marketing strategies that effectively communicate our mission, engage our audience, and drive donations and support for our programs.
Internship/Volunteer Details
This role is available as either an internship or volunteer opportunity, structured to offer 40 noncontiguous hours over 90 business days. The flexible schedule is designed to accommodate your academic commitments while providing you with valuable real-world experience. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to transition into full-time or part-time roles upon graduation, based on performance and passion.

Detailed Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy and Campaign Development:
- Campaign Planning: Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns to promote our educational programs and key initiatives.
- Audience Targeting: Identify target audiences and develop tailored messaging strategies to engage different segments of our community.
- Fundraising Support: Collaborate with the fundraising team to create compelling marketing materials that support donor engagement and fundraising efforts.
Digital Marketing and Content Creation:
- Social Media Management: Help manage our social media platforms by creating and scheduling content that aligns with our mission and goals.
- Content Creation: Develop engaging content, including blog posts, newsletters, and promotional materials, to raise awareness of our programs and initiatives.
- Email Marketing: Assist in creating and distributing email campaigns to keep our supporters informed and engaged.
Public Relations and Community Outreach:
- Media Relations: Support efforts to secure media coverage by drafting press releases, pitch letters, and media kits.
- Event Promotion: Assist in promoting events, both online and offline, to increase attendance and participation.
- Community Engagement: Work with the outreach team to develop strategies for engaging with local communities, partners, and stakeholders.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Performance Tracking: Monitor the performance of marketing campaigns using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and email marketing platforms.
- Reporting: Prepare reports that analyze the effectiveness of marketing efforts, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with our marketing, communications, and development teams to ensure that all marketing efforts align with organizational goals and brand guidelines.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate regularly with key stakeholders to gather feedback, present ideas, and ensure that marketing strategies meet the needs of our supporters.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of marketing activities, including content calendars, campaign plans, and analytics reports.
