Accounts Payable Intern
Position Overview
The Accounts Payable team is looking for an intern to join their team and assist in providing legendary support for over 700 company restaurants, our Support Center and suppliers! This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable exposure and experience to accounting systems and processes in a growing organization.
Responsibilities
- Work with suppliers, business partners and department leadership optimizing pay terms, digital invoicing and use of the supplier portal to improve invoice efficiency
- Oral and electronic communications both internal and external regarding invoice status, payment inquiries and account updates
- May assist with month-end close activities including accruals, journal entries, reconciliations and reporting
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned
- Assist with processing of invoices in accordance with established procedures
- Provide support with reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies by researching duplicate payments, invoice errors and outstanding supplier balances

Qualifications
- Currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Prefer Freshman, but will consider other class levels
- No experience necessary
- Word, Excel, Outlook
