Internship in Investment Solutions: Product/Investment Communications (Undergraduate & Master's)

Dimensional’s Investment Solutions Group (ISG) acts as a source of specialized investment knowledge that delivers thought leadership, education, and analysis to our clients through face-to-face interactions and compelling content.

This nine-week Internship program will expose interns to the day-to-day activities of key teams that comprise ISG. Interns will learn what it’s like to be an Investment Solutions Analyst at Dimensional and work on projects that meet our firm’s current business needs. ISG works closely with other departments such as Research, Portfolio Management, the Global Client Group, and Marketing, providing interns the opportunity to gain insight into how the ISG helps empower other groups across the organization.

ISG interns will be placed on key teams within ISG. Teams may be client facing or responsible for developing, messaging, and publishing product or investment related content. Interns will have the opportunity to develop their finance knowledge while building strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively message product and investment information to internal teams, clients, and prospects. Interns will grow their understanding of Dimensional’s product offering and use creative thinking to communicate on timely market topics. Over the course of the program interns will gain insight into ISG’s key role as a resource for client communications and interactions while advancing their hard and soft skills.

We are seeking a variety of experiences, backgrounds, and technical proficiencies for this role. The Intern will work with investment-related data for product or topic relevant insights and messaging.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate across teams within Investment Solutions Group and the firm, including Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Research and Investment Analytics and Data for the publication of investment materials and client support.
• Clearly communicate complex topics, including Dimensional’s investment philosophy, portfolio management process, portfolio commentary, and competitive landscape to a range of audiences.
• Work on at least one project to develop new content ideas, refine our existing offering, or contribute to content governance and management.
• Identify relevant investment trends and aid in the design and maintenance of competitive analyses for clients and prospects.
• Provide analyses for, and contribute to, the creation of written content such as articles, blogs posts, papers, presentation decks, and other investment-related content.

Qualifications:

• Progress toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a demonstrated interest in investment-related communications.
• Demonstrated history of academic achievement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly with regards to conveying technical investment approaches in a clear and compelling manner.
• Careful attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to prioritize and exercise time management.
• Interest in financial markets and an understanding of Dimensional’s investment philosophy.
