Procurement Intern

The Procurement Intern is an eager meticulous individual who will assist in managing tasks as instructed by the Procurement Manager and Director at ImageFIRST.  The position will be primarily focused on the supporting Data and Analytics for the procurement team, as well as procurement of rental and direct sale products sold by ImageFIRST.  Time will also be dedicated to other facets of the business as directed. This support requires but is not limited to operations, analytical and strategic sourcing execution. The Procurement Intern will also have day to day responsibility for assisting with vendor agreements, vendor communication, RFPs, item maintenance in CCS Route Accounting System, procurement system updates and data analysis to optimize procurement.  The Procurement Intern will be focused on assisting the delivery of high-quality products to ImageFIRST customers, both internal and external, at the lowest possible price points which maximize value to the corporation.    

Start Date:  As soon as possible

Schedule: Part-Time, Hybrid, up to 30 hours per week (flexible to school schedules)

Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00 hourly DOE 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the upkeep and accurate manipulation of our monthly purchase reports from key vendors for our internal Spend Dashboard.
  • Assisting with vendor relationships, including service levels, pricing, value review and quality for ImageFIRST and helping to source new products as needed, primarily in rental and direct sale items.
  • Collaborate with cross function teams such as Sales, Marketing and Operations, on products and services provided and meet organization needs for products and services.
  • Assist in analyzing data for RFPs for new and existing products.
  • Maintain records of vendor contracts, agreements, pricing, item codes.
  • Assist in maintaining ImageFIRST's inventory master files, which encompass item styles, attributes, and associated costs.
  • Facilitate effective communication with the field by promptly addressing concerns and offering comprehensive support as needed.
  • Assist with Integration activities for acquisitions, including item conversions and additions, mapping, etc.
  • Help to develop best practices and SOPs for procurement department to share with the organization.
  • Update and manage procurement data on the Procurement intranet hub and internal “Z” drive.
  • Ability to be accountable to their day-to-day functions and report back on their results.
  • Assist with implementing procurement processes to ensure efficiency, cost savings and best practices
  • Other responsibilities and tasks as reasonably assigned by the Procurement team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Currently seeking a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Business or related field.
  • Proficient knowledge MS Office, specially Excel and related functions (VLookups and Pivot Tables) required.
  • Experience with data analytics strongly preferred.
  • Requires strong communications skills both in-person and remotely through phone, or online.
  • Eagerness to drive results in procurement, managing product availability with cost containment.
  • Must have ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker.
  • Diligence and strong learning agility.
