FALL 2024 - Sales and Digital Communications Intern (REMOTE)

While the Sales department itself is a newer division, this internship will expose you to the intricacies of The Shark Group, especially in supporting sales efforts and enhancing communication strategies.
As a Sales and Digital Communications Intern at The Shark Group, you are an important part of the team.
Overview: The Shark Group is a marketing and consulting firm that offers branding solutions for top brands and celebrities. Founded by award winning entrepreneur Daymond John, our agency’s culture is deeply rooted in identifying opportunities, working extremely hard, and finding solutions to grow businesses immediately.
Applicants MUST be currently enrolled in an accredited university program and eligible to receive academic credit for this internship.
All applicants must have the following skills:
- Currently studying a branch of communications, marketing, public relations, or English.
- Strong writing skills, with video production or editing experience being a plus, but definitely not required.
- Ability to manage and organize data within a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining files and records.
- Excellent communication skills for drafting, sending, and following up on partner communications.
- Project management skills, including experience with Scrum methodology, are desirable but not required.
As an intern, you will gain educational experience by:
- Identifying and categorizing marketing opportunities with high-profile platforms like Good Morning America and Knocking.
- Drafting, sending, and following up on communications with potential partners and clients.
- Managing and organizing information within the CRM system, ensuring data accuracy and up-to-date records.
- Pulling content from various sources, curating relevant images, and supporting the development and updating of websites.
- Assisting in project management tasks, including facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Supporting the marketing team with general administrative tasks.
Learning Outcomes Include:
- Enhanced communication skills through direct interactions with potential partners and clients.
- Proficiency in CRM management, including data entry, organization, and generating insights.
- Experience in project management, particularly within a Scrum framework, improving coordination and milestone tracking.
- Development of content curation skills, with hands-on experience in sourcing, curating, and organizing content for websites.
- Insight into website content management, including the creation and updating of web pages.
Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled in a college or university and eligible to receive internship credit.
- Must provide an official school letter acknowledging proof of enrollment and eligibility.
- 10-20 hour commitment a week

All internships will be remote, candidates must have access to working WIFI and a computer/ laptop
A daily attendance stipend of $10 per day will be tallied and paid out at the end of each month via a mailed check.
