Policy Communications and Marketing Fellow

Summary:

 

The Information Technology Industry Council (ITI) is the premier global advocacy and policy organization for technology, representing the world’s most innovative companies. ITI is seeking a fellow to join its Public Affairs team and support the organization’s media relations, events, marketing, and membership activities. This role is located at ITI’s headquarters in Washington, DC. ITI is committed to attracting creative, talented, and energetic team members who have a demonstrated interest in policy, communications or both. 

 

Your responsibilities: 

 

Content Creator: Support ITI’s marketing and branding by creating new content for social, crafting ITI newsletters, event invitations, brochures, website copy content and other collateral and marketing materials to reach ITI members and other important stakeholders.

Data Strategist: ITI represents the world’s most innovative companies. You will help support ITI’s outreach to current and prospective members through communications, database management, planning, and research. You will analyze and present metrics to measure ITI’s digital, media, membership, and event engagement, and organize and maintain marketing and other key lists.       

News Junkie: Track news of interest to the technology industry, learn how to engage with media and brainstorm pitch ideas, and support ITI’s media relations work. 

Event Innovator: Support ITI’s robust events portfolio, including tracking and analyzing event data and feedback, assisting with audience research, monitoring event attendance, researching industry events, and providing day-of support and execution, such as assisting with event registration and check-in.

 

Your qualifications: 

  • Pursuing a graduate degree or recently completed an undergraduate degree focused on public relations, communications, political communications, public policy or a related field
  • Demonstrated interest and knowledge of technology, public policy, and government
  • Superb writing, editing, open-source research, analytical, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with working with executives and government officials
  • Working familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Canva, video editing and captioning applications, Zoom event and webinar tools, and email marketing tools.
