Custom Solutions Engineering Intern

We are hiring a 2025 Customs Solutions Engineering Summer Intern whom will work hand in hand with engineers to bring customers custom furniture requests to life from drawing board to customer site while working on day to day order processing and engineering projects. Team members utilize Creo, Windchill, Sketchup among other software to process day to day orders creating 3D models, Drawings, and Bill of Materials to support the order fulfillment process. This is coupled with hands-on projects focused on continuous improvement while providing a hands-on experience with our manufacturing facilities and test lab. We hope to create and grow our interns' skillsets that will benefit their future engineering careers.    

 

What You Will Be Doing: 

Engineering solutions to meet customer needs 

Using Creo, Windchill, and other software to support solutions 

Collaborating with internal/external functions to support development and/or continuous improvement projects 

Experiential opportunities to work with our model shop, test lab, visit suppliers, and our showroom/manufacturing facilities

Who You Are: 

Required Skills and Competencies 

Exposure to CAD/3D modeling software 

Currently enrolled in applicable discipline from an accredited school 

Attending a full time matriculated and nationally accredited baccalaureate or graduate program 

Degree focused in Mechanical, Product Design, Industrial Engineering or a related major 

Preferred Skills and Competencies 

Rising Sophomore/Junior 

Basic proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office 

Experience working a team-based environment 

Strong technical documentation and organizational skills 

Strong interpersonal and communication skills 

Reliable transportation, many of our sites do not have public transportation available 

Leadership experience inside and/or outside the classroom 

Strong analytical and technical skills with experience in software industry standards and development tools 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate clearly 

Demonstrated creative problem solving, proactive learning, and curiosity
