Our Purpose:
As a Quality Engineering Intern, your job is the most important in ensuring patient safety and quality of care. The Quality Engineer develops, establishes and maintains quality engineering methodologies, systems, and practices which meet BSC, customer, and regulatory requirements. You will serve as a Quality representative for quality initiatives to support departmental, functional, site, divisional, and corporate quality goals and priorities. You will provide focused quality engineering support in a fast paced and dynamic manufacturing environment and work cross functionally to improve the manufacturing process. You will build relationships with professionals in a diverse range of fields, inspiring people to embrace a culture of continuous improvement. As a Quality Intern at Boston Scientific, you will…
Act as an effective leader or team member in supporting quality disciplines, decisions, and practices.
Apply sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues.
Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design, develop, and sustain processes, procedures, tooling and equipment for first in class medical devices
Assure in the development and execution of streamlined business systems which effectively identify and resolve quality issues.
Collaborate and gain experience from a diverse cross-functional team
Gain better understanding by applying academic knowledge to a real-world problem set

Your Impact:
Value Improvement Projects (VIPs) such as yield improvements, process improvements, and materials cost savings allow Boston Scientific to re-invest the savings into new products to fund company growth
Use design for manufacturing principles to develop tooling and equipment for manufacturing lines for new products
Create inspections or inspection systems to ensure products meet critical requirements
Qualifications:
Current Bachelor's student in your Junior or Senior year or grad student. Must have at least one semester of school left post-internship to qualify.
Pursing degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
Must have authorization to work in the United States without restriction.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams.
Self-starter with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and passion to learn new technologies and find new solutions.
Knowledge of analytical techniques and statistical analysis
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook.
