Title: Operations Technology Intern  

Department: Equipment Engineering Group (EEG), Operations 

Location: Maple Grove, MN  

Duration: May – August 2025 (dates flexible)  

Eligibility Requirements: Ability to work in the United States without restriction

Introduction: 

We are looking for a proactive student for the Operations Technology Internship within our Equipment Engineering Group. You will be working alongside other Engineers and Technicians to create new or update existing scripts, drafting firewall rules, creating backup strategies, and deploying computers in support of the development and production of medical devices.   

  

Your Opportunity:

As an Operations Technology Intern you are...   

Able to learn independently about new technologies or platforms in a fast-paced environment  

Great at complex problem solving, designing, troubleshooting, implementing, and debugging technical solutions.  

Collaborate effectively with team members of all backgrounds and disciplines, with strong written and verbal communication skills.  

Understanding operating systems, networking, and scripting languages at a basic to intermediate level.  

Pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in an engineering or technical discipline  

  

Your Impact:

Work in a dynamic, collaborative environment to understand requirements, design, and test operating system images.  

Help define backup strategies that are clean, documented, and easy to use.   

Utilize IT management tools to automate patch management, reporting and OS deployment.   

Design robust systems with focus on the long-term maintenance and support.  

Review industrial firewall rules to ensure secure segmented machine networks.  

  

Qualifications: 

Current Bachelor's student in your Junior or Senior year or grad student. Must have at least one semester of school left post-internship to qualify.    

Pursuing degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar distinction  

Must have authorization to work in the United States without restriction.  

Scripting Languages:  Batch, Python, PowerShell, Bash  

Operating Systems: Windows, Windows Server, Linux (Ubuntu, Raspberry Pi OS)  

IT Tools:  Acronis, Ansible, Broadcom ITMS  

Containerization and Cloud Providers:  Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure
