SUMMER INTERNSHIP
During the internship, college students will:
● Work on an individual project with your direct team
● Work with other interns on a group project
● Interact with leadership in the company, including VPs
● Network across functions and teams
● Participate in social and team building activities

JOB DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for the design, configuration, integration, and implementation of manufacturing process control systems. Skilled, hands-on problem solving is mixed with software programing of various types of controls components. Primary focus will be on automation improvement capital projects and significant activities requiring a multi-functional team.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
• Selection, troubleshooting and programming of various PLC, HMI, VFD and servo systems
• Setup and diagnose Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT and DeviceNet communication networks
• Establish requirements for and integration of auxiliary components such barcode scanners, label printers, laser sensors, solenoids, and measuring devices
• Design, interpret and update electrical drawings using AutoCAD
• Implement controls solutions into production environment
• Plan for data collection and monitoring of equipment by plant system
• Identify root causes of equipment issues and develop solutions to eliminate
• Create complete specification and cost breakdown for projects
• Prepare technical reports and presentations
• Document designs with appropriate bills of materials, cost analysis, and drawings
• Develop and manage schedules for controls projects
• Establishes continuous improvement goals and executes action plans
• Utilizes proven lean manufacturing abilities to identify opportunities for cost reduction, increased quality, workflow improvements, estimating, project analysis, technology development and core manufacturing skill set
• Participate on cross functional teams to launch modifications or improvements
• Coordinate project work internally with the department and externally with other departments to ensure on-time completion of projects within budget
• Create preventive maintenance plans that effectively maintains the equipment in optimal form without the need for short cutting the quality or machine capability

• Skilled in AutoCAD
• Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of manufacturing engineering theory, processes, and practice
• Strong communication skills to deliver the message to any level of the organization – with clarity required at each level
