Investments Internship:
CNO’s 40|86 Investments Internship program is designed to introduce college students to the application of corporate finance & investments skills at the registered investment subsidiary of CNO Financial Group.
This is a paid internship, at competitive rates at $21/hour. The Memorial Day and 4th of July holidays are paid days off.
As an Investments Intern, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting in-depth fundamental corporate research in one or more industries and identifying attractive investment opportunities.
- Building and maintaining detailed financial models for use in the investment decision process.
- Analyzing both existing and potential new commercial real estate investments.
- Portfolio structuring processes, security analysis and fundamental investment analysis for fixed income investments.
- Interacting with other members of the investment team including Portfolio Managers and Traders to help facilitate an effective investment decision making process.

The CNO 2025 internship program will run May 12 through August 1, 2025. During this period, we offer programming that compliments the learning provided by the department through work and other activities such as:

- Development Opportunities
- Insurance Product and Industry Presentation Series
- An in-person event at one of our Corporate offices during the last week of July
- Final Presentations
- Volunteering Event
Qualified candidates for a 40|86 Investments Intern position will have:
- Progress towards a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
- Status as a rising junior or rising senior, approx. graduation dates of Dec 2025 – June 2027
- Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
- Availability to work 40 hrs/week for 10-12 weeks during the summer in office
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Office products
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Foundational analytical, critical-thinking, and reasoning skills
