Software Testing Intern

As a Software Testing Intern, you will join a development team working on projects having a direct impact on our customers. We are looking for candidates with a collaborative mindset and a natural curiosity to test the limits of software. The Software Testing Intern will work within a cross-functional Agile team to develop high-quality software based on customer needs. Testing will include both automated and manual testing of our products.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  1. Execute test plans and analyze test results to identify defects and configuration issues.
  2. Analyze acceptance criteria to create test cases for unit, integration, and acceptance tests.
  3. Work with external load, performance, and regression testing teams to provide input to execute respective tests.
  4. Proactively communicate defects/issues to team members, including recommendations for correcting the issues.
  5. Write supporting documentation for the software, such as test plans, help documentation, and release notes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Detail-oriented, organized, and methodical, with strong troubleshooting skills.
Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
Able to collaborate with the team to resolve discovered quality issues.
Ability to understand Quality Assurance and testing best/emerging practices.
Experience with automation, web/mobile testing, or regression testing is a plus.
Innovation-driven mindset with the ability to work in a rapid and iterative product development environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Computer Science, MIS, or other technology-related fields.
Experience with the following tools is a plus: Selenium, Gherkin, Cucumber, Cypress, Junit/NUnit, JMeter, and Jira.
A solid understanding or ability to understand software testing practices

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Normal office environment with use of computers and telephone systems; no unusual physical demands.
