Mechanical Engineering Intern

Responsibilities 

Use basic mechanical engineering skills to provide solutions for assigned projects  

Apply collegiate curriculum and current knowledge/practices to solve specific technical problems and standard design problems 

Execute challenging projects for assigned operation unit(s) to deliver improved asset integrity and unit reliability

Collaborate with reliability engineers, maintenance engineers, and other plant personnel to address challenging real-world problems 

Develop competency in the design and troubleshooting of fixed and rotating equipment, such as piping, valves, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, relief devices, and pressure vessels

Additional responsibilities will vary depending on the specific role 

 

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have the following:

Pursuing a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering  

Anticipated graduation date December 2025 or May 2026

GPA 2.8 or higher

Demonstrated understanding of engineering mathematics

Microsoft suite proficiency: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Attention to detail

Verbal and written communication skills

Positive attitude and learning agility

Proven success working in a team environment

Demonstrated commitment to safety

Ability to work in the U.S. with no restrictions (OPT H1b, TN visa currently not supported)
