We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry-Level IT Asset Management Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for tracking and managing hardware and software assets throughout their entire lifecycle, ensuring compliance, proper use, and helping the organization maximize its technology investments.
Responsibilities:
- Work with asset data in systems, such as ServiceNow and CMDB, to maintain data accuracy, review contracts, and ensure assets are properly accounted for.
- Utilize tools such as Power BI, Excel, Snow Software, Jira, and Visio to manage and report on asset management tasks. Query and analyze data to support decision-making and ensure compliance.
- Learn and understand software and hardware technologies, their deployment, vendor-specific processes, and how they are maintained and disposed of.
- Partner with various teams, including cloud, legal, software, and hardware, to ensure efficient asset management and compliance.
- Act as a gatekeeper for ensuring that assets comply with internal and external regulations, supporting risk management processes, and keeping the company out of legal or financial trouble.

Top Skills Required:
- Currently pursuing or having earned a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
- Strong interest in asset management, technology, and learning about different hardware and software systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other reporting or querying tools is a plus.
- Experience or familiarity with ServiceNow, Snow Software, or Jira is beneficial.
- Interest in compliance, risk management, and understanding how contracts work is a plus.
- A data-oriented background with an understanding of data review and analysis.
- Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), hardware, software, and their lifecycle processes is a plus.
