KYC Internship
About the department:
Financial Crime and Fraud Prevention is a unit within the Operations department responsible for all phases of Client On-Boarding. The KYC Analyst ) will assist in researching, analyzing, evaluating and documenting day-to-day KYC (Know Your Customer) activities including but not limited to:
- Party Registration
- Know Your Customer (KYC) via the CDD process
- Foreign Account Tax Compliance ACT (FATCA)
- Environmental & Social Responsibility (ESR)
- Name Screening

This posting is focused on positions in the below areas:
KYC (Know Your Customer)
The intern will assist the KYC team to protect the company against risks accompanied with client on-boarding, money laundering activity and reputational risk in accordance with the firm’s global and local regulatory procedures and policies as well as government and industry regulations and assist with on-boarding requests and review of the existing clients.
Assist in the input and review of new, existing clients/vendors/business partners in the company’s global database as well as prepare the customer’s CDD, ESR, , FATCA/CRS profiles and determines the appropriate risk ratings. As part of the preparation process, they will assist in running real-time name screening scans of potential negative information and politically exposed person hits for which they must review and resolve the alerts as the first line of defense and escalate as needed.
Cross-check data points within ING processing systems, update KYC SharePoint on the regular basis and assist with the tasks related to Quality Assurance and Production targets.
Profile (What we’re looking for)
Undergraduate college student, graduating in 2026 in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, engineering, or related field. Graduate students may also be considered for certain roles.
Liberal arts majors interested in careers in finance and banking are welcome to apply.

The salary for this role is $35/hour with the potential for overtime.
