Responsibilities:

  • Assist in building, configuring, and managing virtual machines (VMs) on AWS or Azure.
  • Learn and contribute to cloud infrastructure deployment and maintenance tasks.
  • Set up cloud-based development environmentsusing EC2, S3, VPCs (AWS) or Azure VMs, Blob Storage, and VNets (Azure).
  • Work alongside developers to support the configuration and scaling of resources for our software projects.
  • Help create and maintain automation scripts using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Azure Resource Manager templates.
  • Monitor cloud resources using AWS CloudWatch or Azure Monitor, ensuring performance and security.
  • Configure identity and access management (IAM)policies to secure access control for cloud resources.
  • Research and recommend best practices for cloud optimization and cost efficiency.

Skills You Will Learn:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Setup: Learn how to build and manage cloud infrastructure for real-world applications.
  • Automation: Gain experience in automating cloud tasks with Terraform, CloudFormation, and other tools.
  • Security: Understand the principles of securing cloud environments, including managing IAM roles and virtual networks.
  • Monitoring & Optimization: Learn to monitor cloud performance and optimize usage.
  • CI/CD Exposure: Work with continuous integration and delivery pipelines using AWS and Azure services.

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and an interest in cloud computing.
  • Familiarity with operating systems like Linux or Windows.
  • Some experience or coursework in networking, virtual machines, or cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong interest in learning automation tools(Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates).
  • Availability to work at least 20 hours per week.
  • Eager to work in a collaborative, remote environment.
  • Good problem-solving skills and a desire to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Knowledge of version control (Git, GitHub).
  • Familiarity with cloud monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch or Azure Monitor.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
