Join our Fixed Income Technology Team

The Jefferies Fixed Income Information Technology Team services Rates, Credit, MBS, and FX client bases. We are a high-performing and efficient operating technology workforce which is client focused & aligned, technologically proficient, knowledgeable of the business, with a focus on execution & delivery to our associated businesses and/or corporate stakeholders globally. We provide best in class technology and alignment to associated business users, maintain a highly controlled production environment, a forward-looking change portfolio to support business growth, while being fiscally responsible.

We are looking for passionate problem solvers to join a collaborative team that promotes constructive, respectful, and open intellectual discourse to play an instrumental role in supporting our Fixed Income trading businesses. We are seeking critical thinkers who thrive in a collaborative culture like ours where we use technology to solve real problems facing the global fixed income markets while building the future of finance.

Software Developer / Engineer responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Participating in all stages of the software development life cycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering and analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, and implementation
Utilizing technologies including, Java and Python to design, implement and release state of the art applications for mission critical, high performance, globally distributed systems related to automated trading
Utilizing software including Java, and relational databases including SQL Server, Oracle to develop and support applications
Produce exemplary code and deliver completed projects on time
Collaborate with client facing technical teammates to ensure that developmental efforts truly meet our customer bases needs
Work directly with our userbase to develop enhance and release sophisticated applications for mission critical, high performance distributed trading systems
Assemble novel solutions that achieve business objectives putting you at the forefront of our R&D efforts

Trading Applications solution Analyst responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Act as frontline support for electronic trading systems used by Jefferies clients as well as internal users
Interact with a wide spectrum of people from heads of trading desks to developers and middle office teams
Liaise with infrastructure (hardware/networking) and cloud teams
Handling Pressure-filled situations involving millions of dollars of trades
Troubleshoot issues and field questions on production systems addressing issues ranging from missing trades to exchange connectivity problems and systems outages
Proactively preventing future problems by producing both tactical and strategic solutions.
Be responsible for tracking bugs and stability issues that affect the production environment and lead changes to mitigate these issues.
Work with product managers/development team to improve product and supported workflows
Document procedures and troubleshooting FAQs.

Desired Background and Skills:

Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
Must graduate between December 2025 – June 2026
