Reliability Engineering Fall Co-Op

We are a global chemical company and one of the nation's leading manufacturers of agricultural products. Our Hannibal plant is built to manufacture high-quality products in a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound manner. We occasionally have the need for contingent labor, and that's where you come in. This is a paid, full-time, temporary position. If chosen, you will report to a manager/mentor who will provide you with oversight and details of your assignments.
The scope of assignments for this role will vary, but will likely include: 
Reliability: 
  1. Develop framework for pipework inspection improvement  
  2. Complete equipment strategy for 1 piece of equipment as identified by mentor  
  3. Identify and support 1 viable Operational Excellence project in the realm of reliability 
  4. Support reliability engineers day to day tasks during times of shifting work load / absences  
  5. Review Maintenance Plans (PM’s) for a specific plant section as agreed by mentor 
  6. Evaluate opportunities for reliability improvements based on operator and maintenance feedback  
Asset: 
  1. Getting the PM’s in place for the remaining Pressure Relief Devices and updating the Valve Repair (VR) list with the new PM numbers. 
  2. Updating pressure vessel list with current inspection dates. 
  3. Maintaining/updated the status asset condition/replacement (“smiley face”) spreadsheets for the Asset Development Plans (ADP) and capital planning. 
Required and Preferred Qualifications 
Basic knowledge of mechanics and chemical manufacturing a plus, basic knowledge of maintenance, SAP experience a plus (but not required), proficiency in MS office. 
This job pays an hourly wage (depending on experience) for a 40-hour week, plus an additional housing stipend for each month. This job may last between 3-9 months depending on your availability.
